HUNGER!!!!!!!!

With the dollar at 91 Ksh the economy in our country is deteriorating. The cost of living is now very high starting with high fuel prices and the skyrocketing food prices in Kenya. Some people are going hungry everyday due to lack of water let alone food.When shopping yesterday, I noticed that some products had increased in prices while some were not even available. The items that were available, one was only allowed to purchase a maximum of only 2 packets(am talking about sugar). One of the commodities whose price has spiked obscenely in the last four months is maize flour by a staggering 70 percent.   But it’s not the first time we have had shortage of maize and our beloved government has never bothered to subsidize the cost of fertilizers to a sensible level, give farmers incentives, revive and put up more irrigation schemes or any other measures to counter the perennial maize shortage.
